Baptism

The parish supports parents in their roles as their child's first teachers of the Faith by requiring a baptism preparation class prior to scheduling an infant (birth to 5 years) baptism.  Baptism classes are scheduled within the parish cluster every other month and must be taken within 2 years of the Baptism.  Once the class is completed, the Baptism can be scheduled on any appropriate  Saturday or Sunday either during Mass or immediately after.

For children over 5 years of age, an individual plan will be created based on previous Faith Formation experience.

Please call the office for information on classes and scheduling.

The Sacraments  -  Preparing and Celebrating

Reconciliation

Reconciliation is offered each Saturday prior to Mass from 3:00 to 3:30 or by appt.

First Reconciliation preparation is done during the 2nd grade Faith Formation classes as well as through home study with parents and group events.  Because preparing to receive a sacrament for the first time is an awesome and challenging responsibility, the parish provides meetings and retreats for both parents and students during their preparation time.  Parents are also given a workbook to assist their child in completing prior to the reception of First Reconciliation which usually occurs in mid November.

First Reconciliation can be prepared for at any age, 2nd grade or older.

Eucharist

Our parish celebrates the Eucharist Saturdays at 4:00 PM and Sunday at 9:30 AM.  Daily Mass is offered at our cluster parishes through out the week.  Please see the parish calendar for specific locations and times.

First Eucharist preparation is done during the 2nd grade Faith Formation classes as well as through home study with parents and group events.  Because preparing to receive a sacrament for the first time is an awesome and challenging responsibility, the parish provides meetings and retreats for both parents and students during their preparation time.  Parents are also given a workbook to assist their child in completing prior to the reception of First Eucharist which usually occurs during the month of April.

First Eucharist can be prepared for at any age, 2nd grade or older.

Confirmation

Confirmation preparation, for youth in grade 11, is designed for the responsible and mature student with recent involvement in parish life. Candidates need to have completed Faith Formation through the 10th grade or an equivalent program, and should be ready to commit to the preparation process. The Confirmation program includes weekly large group meetings, one overnight retreat and requires candidates to complete service hours in the parish and community. Preparation activities and classes begin in the fall with Confirmation taking place in the spring.

Confirmation for adults is part of the RCIA process and takes place at the Easter Vigil Mass.

Marriage

Please contact the parish office as soon as you are engaged (at least 6 months prior to the wedding date) to schedule a meeting with the Parish Life Coordinator.

The Parish Life Coordinator will assist you in approaching the sacrament of marriage through prayer, discussion, evaluation and learning.

A wedding coordinator is available to help you plan a marriage service that is a reflection of your commitment to each other and to the Church.

Annointing of the Sick

The sick (physical or emotional) and elderly have a right to this sacrament.

If there is an immediate need for the sacrament, please call the Emergency Phone number found at the top of this page or on the Contact Us page.  To schedule a time for administration of the sacrament, please call the office to make arrangements for a priest to anoint those in need.

Due to new privacy policies, hospital patients must notify hospital staff that they would like to see a priest at the time of admission.

You might also consider requesting prayers for the sick through our parish prayer line.
